Cobourg Beach

With the temperatures still barley hovering in the double digits, we decided to visit Cobourg Beach – which is located about two hours east of Toronto. The beach was quiet, only a few other people in sight. I decided to still wear flip-flops because the sun was warm all day.

In the peak of the summer, hundreds, if not thousands, of people pack Victoria Park – usually sunbathing, building sandcastles and splashing in the water. It was relaxing to spend time in the silence, though. We had a chance to fly the chopper, listen to the chirping of the birds, and we also met some really cool locals along the way.

  1. The best time to go anywhere (for Astrid and me) is in off-season, Emily. Besides fewer people, there are usually no/fewer leaves, leaving landscapes, buildings, and views much more visible. Love it for you.

    1. Off-season 100%. Last year we tried to do some photography, but because of all the people, the photos didn’t really look so good, so we tried photoshopping them out 🙂
