Bruce Peninsula National Park – Cyprus

Our annual camping trip came and went this past weekend, and this year, we ventured 4 hours north of Toronto to the beautiful Bruce Peninsula National Park.

Bruce Peninsula is one of my favourite locations for photos, visiting it many times in the past, including last summer.

But, it is my first time camping there! We stayed at Cyprus, walked to the grotto, canoed (NOTE: rentals made from Thorncrest Outfitters can be picked up right at the National Park) and of course, the traditional delights that come with camping – bonfires, marsh mellows and the stars.

Happy 10th Birthday, Jimmy Dean!

Ten years ago, this little man came into our lives. Jimmy Dean is the most special guy, who has never changed. His temperament, his chirp of a meow, and his very sweet personality makes him a unique fella.

Today, I look back at the decade and am so blessed to have this man in my life. I will love him forever.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing women out there, who do their best for their families every day. Today, I wish my mom and my aunt – my godmother – a very special Mother’s Day!

“My mother was the most beautiful woman I ever saw. All I am I owe to my mother. I attribute my success in life to the moral, intellectual and physical education I received from her.”

Sunshine & Táta

After a week of ice and snow, it looks like spring finally decided to arrive! The sun has been out since Friday, and we couldn’t be happier!

Paul Brandt – Spotify Fans First

How excited was I to attend a special Paul Brandt Spotify Fans First event! Long time readers of this blog probably know of my appreciation for Paul, dating back to the early 2000s. And this very intimate event was an incredible and unique way to experience his music all over again with my mom!

The Woodshed is a recording studio, tucked away in Toronto’s Greektown.

Approximately 30 people attended this 2-hour event. We were treated to photos, autographs, and best of all, GREAT stories. Paul shared details about writing The Journey YYC:  Vol. 1 – life from Calgary to Nashvillehis adventure on the Pacific Coast Highway (which is on my bucket list for this summer!), his work with Not In My City, which raises awareness about sexual exploitation and sexual trafficking, as well as warming stories about his family.

To be honest, I have used Spotify since it was first introduced in Canada, and I didn’t realize they offered these unique experiences until I was invited to it.

Thank you to Paul Brandt and Spotify for this remarkable opportunity.
