Parc Oméga, Quebec

I had the best weekend EVER at Parc Oméga in Montebello, Quebec.

It was a spur-of-the-moment idea. A 4.5 hour road trip east to the beautiful wildlife park. According to Outaouais Tourism, Parc Oméga has a 17-km road in a 2,200-acre park.

The elk, deer and antelope were VERY active. We also caught a glimpse of Arctic fox, moose, coyotes and buffalo.

But for me, the most exciting part was feeding the elk and deer out of the palm of my hand. We made sure to pack carrots, and charge our cameras for this experience — I knew it’d be incredibly memorable.

This was taken on the Boardwalk to view the wolves and bears. Unfortunately, some of the trail was blocked because of the weather.

  1. Wow great pictures! if you hadn’t said it was a park you would think some of these photos were taken in the wild. Love the one of the elk photo- bombing you or were you two just posing together? 🙂

    1. Hahaha It sure does look like he is posing with me … it even looks like he is smiling!! After this photo was taken, he tried to eat my hair! 🙂

  2. It is nice that every now and then you get to appreciate what nature has given to us, the fauna, the flora and the wild life. So now you can compare the concrete jungle in the city with real nature. Now you will know what the environmentalist/ ecologist are concerned about.

    1. Yes, excellent points! Nothing quite like being out with nature … the city doesn’t cut it in comparison. Nor does it feel as fresh.

    1. There is a place called African Lion Safari in Ontario, and I heard they have some very destructive monkeys that ruin cars hahaha
