Cobourg Beach

With the temperatures still barley hovering in the double digits, we decided to visit Cobourg Beach – which is located about two hours east of Toronto. The beach was quiet, only a few other people in sight. I decided to still wear flip-flops because the sun was warm all day.

In the peak of the summer, hundreds, if not thousands, of people pack Victoria Park – usually sunbathing, building sandcastles and splashing in the water. It was relaxing to spend time in the silence, though. We had a chance to fly the chopper, listen to the chirping of the birds, and we also met some really cool locals along the way.

Cobourg Beach

You’re my summertime

Generally, I am not a fan of summer. Let’s be honest: it’s hot, sticky, UV rays scare the sh!t out of me, and I think I have a sweating problem.

But despite my natural instincts to stay indoors, hide away in an air conditioned house, and stare at my beautiful Backstreet Boys posters … sometimes you have to suck it up, embrace it, and enjoy the sun!
