My dog & Ajax Rotary Park

Ajax Rotary Park — a great place to enjoy nature, get a view of the water, without the hassle of a long drive. And a nice way to spend a Friday evening!

Happy end-of-the-week to everyone! Tonight, we enjoyed a long walk through the park, met a cyclist who biked all the way from Kitchener and another doggie friend who could have been Táta’s cousin! A great start to the weekend, if I do say so myself!

Did I mention it also feels like autumn down by the water? LOVE IT!

Winter wonderland at Greenwood Conservation

Today was the first major snowfall of the season – a true winter wonderland at Greenwood Conservation Park in Ajax. The area has always been my favourite for photos, so I took a quick ride over to take some snow-infused photos.

We also hiked the trails and checked out some areas for biking. I think I may have also found some nearby hills for sledding!

Tonight, we are expecting 10-15 centimetres of snow. I am excited to see what the morning looks like dressed in white.

P.S. – It was really hard to take a mid-air photo with the timer. Here are some failed attempts!

Candy canes & Cullen Gardens

Every year, I do a family holiday photo – most years, I’ve done it at home. But as we undergo basement renovations, we had to do this year’s outside.

Because fall still lingers, I aimed to find a place with evergreens. After a short scout, I decided to take the year’s Christmas card photos at Cullen Gardens (now known as Cullen Central Park) in Whitby.

We brought some props — and overall, I think they turned out quite seasonal!

Ajax Pumpkinville 2016

Another year, another Town of Ajax Pumpkinville event at Greenwood Conservation Area! This special event has become a yearly tradition for me (2015, 2014, 2013), and each year there’s something new to enjoy.

As usual, I picked up my free pumpkin, enjoyed a horse-drawn carriage ride and for the first year, we fed the barn animals! My favourite were the baby goats and the kissing lama!

Other activities this year included: jumping castles, a haunted house, face painting, children’s activities, live entertainment, and a bon fire for roasting marshmallows.

Gobble gobble! Happy Thanksgiving!

As per tradition, here is my family’s annual Thanksgiving photo! This year, we snapped the photo at Greenwood Conversation Area, where I will be again next week for their annual Pumpkinville event!

Today, I will celebrate with my extended family, and tomorrow, another great meal awaits me when I visit Scott’ family.

I hope everyone has a safe, memorable and yummy Thanksgiving long weekend! I know I will. 🙂
