Well, it’s almost upon us again … my most favourite time of the year: Christmas time!
Every year, we have a tradition. We decorate our Christmas tree during the annual Toronto Santa Claus Parade. However, we switched things up this time around; we put our tree up to coincide with our local parade.
For our tree trimming “party,” my cousin stopped by with some very tasty holiday cookies – that she baked, I might add – and we ate a traditional Swiss Chalet Canadian lunch. We also drew names for our cousin Secret Santa gift exchange.
Only 39 days left. Just saying!

Oh, WONDERFUL. i love how the cat seems totally nonplussed! HA! Astrid won’t let me put up the Christmas tree until AFTER Dec. 5th, Sinterklaas day. It’s just not done. The compromise is that I put it up just before so that I can turn the lights on by the 6th. 🙂
Christmas is great Emily….Christmas is also special for me, it’s family time for me. Can’t wait for it…
