Happy Birthday Judy

Today is a very special day, for a very special person in my life. Today is my cousin Judy’s birthday. She is now in her mid-20’s, celebrating 24 fantastic years.

I’ve mentioned Judy in the past – actually, several times on this blog (here and here). She has been a constant in my life, and a true friend. Despite the ups and downs and the people who’ve come and gone, Judy has proven to be someone who will stand by my side, listen to my ramblings, and – at times – lend her company when everyone else has disappeared. I recall all the Backstreet Boys events (yes, I remember when A.J and Brian waved to us!), the homemade fan girl shirts, failed skateboarding attempts, long walks home from school (especially in the freezing cold) and the random 50 (Fitty?) cent  concert … that my dad took us to! Such an eclectic mix of memories, but I wouldn’t trade a second of it.

Judy – I hope your day brings delicious cake, British accents and Lord of the Rings references. Thank you for never judging me, and always being an inspiration. I am beyond blessed. Happy birthday to the best, of the best … Oh, and if you’re wondering, yes. We’ve always been *this* fashionable. Don’t be jealous.
